A terms and conditions agreement is not a legal requirement. However, having one comes with a number of benefits to both you and your customers. Having your T&Cs published with your registration forms will help customers understand your rules, requirements and restrictions.
It is highly recommended that you include your full terms of service in your registration forms. This serves as a clear communication to the parents and carers about your business terms. The terms can include various policies such as service terms, cancellation and refund policies, privacy policies, booking policies and more.
To update your Terms and conditions:
- Go to 'Admissions' > 'Registration Forms'
- Click on the registration form you want to edit
- In the 'Step 1 - Create Form' section, go to 'Terms'
- Click on the 'View T&Cs' button
- Enter your terms using the editor, format the contents as required, and click 'Save'.
You can format your terms and conditions with our content editor. Customize the font, style, and colour to your preferences.
What your customers will see:
Once you have saved the changes and published your registration form, you can preview the form with your terms and conditions added. For example, below is how a registration form with updated T&Cs will look to your customers.
With CheqForm, we have also given your customers the added functionality to view the T&Cs upfront - even before they fill in or submit the form. This is particularly useful for parents and carers to know what your terms are before they sign up for your service.
Below is an example of the expanded terms of service page after a customer clicks on the 'Terms & Conditions' link on the registration form.
The T&Cs are also displayed before a form is submitted. A contract (registration process in this example) cannot be valid or legally binding unless consent is given. Before submitting a registration form, a parent or carer must provide their consent and/or agreement to your terms (terms and conditions of service). CheqForm helps you easily capture this along with a digital signature before the registration form is submitted.
