You can edit or move room for a child at any time. However, before you edit or move the room that has been assigned to a child, you'll need to understand how moving or editing the room impacts the records associated with the child.
What 'Edit Room' does:
Editing a room will alter historical data for a child. This action is done only when an incorrect room was updated for a child and the room/class needs to be changed.
What 'Move Room' does:
Move room action is performed when a child needs to be moved to another room. For example, move a child from the toddler room to the preschool room.
How to Edit Room/Class:
- Go to 'Centre Settings'
- Click on 'Children's Register'
- Scroll to the right, next to the name of the child - Click on the ellipses '...'
- Click on 'Edit Room'
Important:
The edit room action will alter historical data for a child.
After you select the 'Edit Room' option, an on-screen prompt will appear asking you to confirm the changes. Make the necessary changes and click on 'Proceed' and finally go to the tab on the next page and click on 'Submit' to save the changes.
How to Move Room/Class:
- Go to 'Centre Settings'
- Click on 'Children's Register'
- Scroll to the right, next to the name of the child - Click on the ellipses '...'
- Click on 'Move Room'
Important:
The move room action will reset the booking details records of a child. You will need to update the booking calendar from new as any previous booking patterns of this child will NOT be transferred over to the new calendar created after moving the room or class. Move room action should only be performed if you have completed all pending transactions for this child, for instance, any billing or invoicing should be completed prior to moving the room.
If you wish to keep all existing booking patterns for a child, choose the edit room option instead!
You cannot restore any booking details if you move back to the previous (old) room. This action is only recommended if you have completed all pending jobs or billing for this child.
